Ｊ氏が帰るのを見届けてから、

こちらも週末に実家から両親が来ていたグリンガムと

両親との４人で一緒にお好み焼きを食べに行くことに！

少し緊張したけど、和やかな雰囲気でよかった(^^;)

There is an artist from Okinawa named Cocco. A few years ago, she stopped being active as a singer but, after that, she has been writing songs and doing various things.

One of these things is an ongoing activity named, "Operation Zero Trash." The first step was reclaim Okinawa’s clean beaches and picking up trash. However, one person can’t pick that much trash alone, so she decided to recruit comrades. By writing music.

She got many people from Okinawa together for the "Under 10 minute concert." She delivered the message, "If these songs touch your heart, pick up trash on the beach." The next year, she somehow even got the Okinawan government officials involved, and the anniversary of the end of the war in the Pacific was made a beach cleanup day for all of Okinawa.

In some ways I can empathize with the way of life of this kind of person. The parts of her songs that speak to me are, "If you don’t do anything, nothing will get started," "I tried to give up but I can’t give up; I didn’t want to give up," "Everyone is putting too much blame on other people," "If you have a complaint, let’s all pick up the trash at our own feet (=Let’s all do what we can)."

　私の好きな歌手に、Ｃｏｃｃｏという沖縄出身の女性歌手がいます。数年前に歌手活動を停止したのですが、その後も歌を使って色々な活動をしています。

　その一つが、「ゴミゼロ大作戦」と題された一連の活動です。はじめの一歩は、沖縄にきれいな海を取り戻したいとゴミ拾いをすることでした。しかし、あまりに多くのゴミに自分一人では立ち向かえないと、仲間を集めることにしました。「歌」を使って。

　彼女は、多くの沖縄の人を巻き込んだ１０分足らずの演奏会を行いました。「もしも歌が届いたら　海のゴミを拾ってね」というメッセージをこめて。その次の年にはなんと沖縄の行政までも動かしし終戦の日にゴミ拾いを沖縄全土で行いました。

　そんな彼女の生き方に共感できるところがあります。「何もしなければ、何も始まらない」「あきらめようとしたけど、あきらめられない　あきらめたくなかった」「みんな他人のせいばかりにしすぎている」「文句があるなら、まず自分の足元のゴミを拾ってから（＝自分にできること）にしましょう」というところです。

幼なじみのＪ氏が来広した。２位の球職３０氏を抜き、

ダントツの訪広回数を誇る。

仕事でたまったヘドロを出すかのごとく、グチがどんどん出てくる！

そんな彼も来３月末で退職する可能性が。

おつかれさん。８年間も今までよう頑張ったわほんま。

何もないけどゆっくり休んでいきんちゃい。

今年の学祭で発表するべく、ハモリメンバーの打ち合わせを行う。

今年は今までの曲にプラスしてボンジョヴィの名曲を検討中。

うまくいくといいな。。

知っている人も多いと思うがdebleの自動車の免許は

「オートマ限定」だ。

１２年前、これからはミッション車はなくなる！と勝手に判断し、

ＡＴ限定をとった。しかし、今になっても商業者は未だＭＴが多く、

debleの予想は大ハズレ…就職してから、仕事でＭＴを乗る可能性が

あることから、ＡＴ限定解除に踏み切ったわけだ。

教習所は福山にある県の自動車学校。

入校手続きが済むとすぐに乗ることに。

いやーバイクと違って足での半クラは難しい！

４回乗っただけで卒検へすすめるのか！

  お久しぶりです！今日アリソンさんからエアメールが届きました！
CDとキーホルダーが添えられていました！
今度こちらからも手紙を送ってみたいと思います♪

明日の学校にそなえて三原へ帰る。

昼間の岡山市付近の渋滞が予想されたのでdebleお得意の

「ウラ道」を通る。さすがに４年目にもなると三原～福山～倉敷～上郡～太子

までのマニいルートが完成！（一部Ｒ２使用）

時間はややかかるものの、渋滞のストレス、交通量を考えると

はるかにこちらの方が楽！道マニア万歳！

After our long flight from the east coast of America to Japan, when we finally arrived in Japan we were both very tired.  I was tired but looking forward to the excitement of our trip to Japan.  I remember the feeling of walking out of customs and into a different world.  We took a bus from Narita airport to the Yokohama station when Kiyoko-san was there to meet us. We had dinner at a family style Japanese restaurant.  After two days of travel all I wanted to do was bath and go sleep.  I feel asleep and remember Patricia waking me up saying " Did you feel that earthquake?".

The next day was chilly but sunny, we packed up the van and header for Atagawa heights. One of the best parts about going to Atagawa heights ryookan is the trip.  From Yokohama to Izu takes about 3 and half hours. It is a beautiful drive along the Pacific coast to Izu.   We always have to stop at a rest area along the way because Patricia’s father is always hungry. From the rest stop Patricia’s mother drove.  I was very happy because I like Kiyoko-san’s driving better.  within 5 minutes Otoosan was asleep in the passenger seat.  Along the way we stopped at a tourist attraction to look at the flowers and beautiful bonsai trees.

Our room at the hotel was spacious and nice.  After resting for a while we headed for the bath.  Otoosan and I enjoyed the bath and talked about various things.  After the bath we enjoyed a wonderful meal at the hotel. The next day the weather was starting to become bad.  We drove to a nearby town and went out on a tourist boat.  On the way back to the hotel, we stopped at a convenience store to purchase various small things.  Kiyoko-san and otoosan did karaoke for a while and I took a nap.  Later  we went to the bath again and had another wonderful meal.

The next day it was raining and the wind was very strong.  Kiyoko-san told me that a typhoon was heading for Japan. We got back to Yokohama just in time for the typhoon to hit.  It rained very hard and the wind was very strong for about 4 hours.  On the Television we saw that the road to Ocean side road to Izu had been closed due to heavy rains and flooding.  We were very lucky to have made it home in time. Out last day in Yokohama was quiet. I helped otoosan with his new computer and Kiyoko-san and Patricia talked about various things.

For my mothers 87th birthday present, my brother and sisters and I decided all met in Myrtle beach South Carolina.  My 2 sisters and brother all live close to my mother in Canton, Ohio.  My two sisters, my brothers wife, and my mother flew from Ohio to South Carolina.  My Brother and my sisters boy friend drove.  After all the storms in Florida we were all a little reluctant to go.  We were all pleasantly surprised that the weather was very nice.  The days were warm and the nights cool.  My family likes to eat.  When they are not eating they are talking about cooking or buying food.  We all had a very good time.  Myrtle beach is famous for golf courses.  For the first time my wife, Patricia and I palyed golf together. We both really enjoyed it.

 Things to do while I’m in Japan in the future

When I go to Japan, the first thing I want to do is to look at Mount Fuji and then climb it.  Next, I would like to eat Japanese food, such as sushi or tempura.  After that I would like to meet some people and try to talk to them in Japanese, and I would like to tour as many castles as I can and see where the emperor and his wife and child lives. If I have time left after all that, I would hope that I would be lucky  enough to go to Iwo Jima and see the beach and the caves.  Also, I would like to see the black sand. While in Japan I would also like to go to Nagasaki and to Hiroshima to see the Peace Museum and to Fukuoka to see the statue ofAdmiral Yamamoto. I would also like to see Geiko so I can see how they look up close. I don’t want to drive in Japan because the cars drive on the left side of the road. I would also like to go to onsen; I hope it is not too hot.  And last but not least, I would like to stay in a Japanese inn for one night.

将来、私が日本へ行った時、したいことは・・・

　今度、私が日本へ行った時、まず最初にしたいことは、富士山を見て、それから、登ることです。

　次に、おすしや天ぷらのような、日本料理を食べたいです。その後で、何人かの日本人に会って、彼らと日本語で話してみたいです。

　それから、出来るだけたくさんのお城を観光したいです。また、天皇陛下と皇后陛下や陛下のお子さんが住んでいる場所を見たいです。

　その全てをした後で、もし時間が残っていれば、硫黄島へ行って、海岸や洞窟を見ることができれば、運がいいなあ、と思います。黒砂海岸も見たいです。

　日本滞在中、長崎と広島の平和記念博物館も見に行きたいです。

　福岡では、山本大将の銅像を見たいです。

　それに芸者さんを近くで見ると、どんなものか見てみたいです。

　私は日本では、車の運転をしたくないです。
なぜなら、自動車は、道路の左側を運転するからです。

　温泉にも行ってみたい・・・でも、お湯が熱過ぎなければいいんですが。

　それから大事なことを最後に言いますと、日本旅館に一泊滞在したいです。

しょうらい、わたし が にほん へ いった とき、したいこと は・・・

　こんど、わたし が にほん へ いった とき、まず、さいしょに したいことは、ふじさん を みて、それから のぼること です。

　つぎに、おすし や てんぷら の ような にほんりょうり を たべたい です。そのあとで、なんにんかの にほんじん にあって、かれらと にほんごで はなしてみたいです。

　それから できるだけ たくさんの おしろ を かんこう したいです。また、てんのうへいか と こうごうへいか や へ いかの おこさん が すんでいる ばしょ を みたいです。

　その すべてを した あとで、もし じかん が のこっていれば、いおうじま へ いって、かいがん や どうくつ を みることが できれば うん が いいなあ、と おもいます。くろすな かいがん も みたいです。

　にほん たいざいちゅう、ながさき と ひろしま の へいわ きねん はくぶつかん を みに いきたいです。

　ふくおか では、やまもと たいしょう の どうぞう を みたいです。

　それに げいしゃさん を ちかくで みると、どんなものか みてみたい です。

　わたしは にほん では、くるま の うんてん を したくないです。なぜなら、じどうしゃ は どうろ の ひだりがわ を うんてんする からです。

　おんせん にも いってみたい・・・でも、おゆ が あつすぎなければいいんですが。

　それから、だいじなこと を さいご に いいますと、にほんりょかん に いっぱくたいざいしたいです。
