昨日、患者さんの家に訪問リハビリに行って、一緒に肉じゃがを作りました。
片手で野菜を切るのは大変だけど、便利な道具を色々使って何とか出来上がりました。

その肉じゃががそのまま、そのお宅の晩御飯になりました。
なんだか、とってもうれしい。肉じゃがを作れたこと、それが家族のごはんになること。
そのお宅の生活の一部分を担えたようで、ほんとうにうれしい。
そして、こんな時、言葉なんていらないな、と思います。一緒に、何かをして、一緒に笑顔になる。それだけで、十分なのかも。

さて、インド旅行。愉しみではあるけれど、ガイドブックを読むたびに
不安がどんどん膨らんでいくのも事実。

普通は、ガイドブックを読みながら、こんな処へも行きたい、あんなものも食べたいとか
夢がふくらむのではと思うのですが、インドの場合は違いました。読んでいくと、
人口１０億人のインド人は全員、嘘つきなのか？？？？と思うような記事が満載。

でも、ある人のこんなメッセージに、ちょっと勇気をもらいました。

インドでは何が本当か分からない。多分、自分の見たものが本当だ。物乞いにはお金をあげる。サドゥ（修行僧）には差し上げる.

観光用のサドゥが結果商売だったとしても、差し上げるつもりで差し上げたのならばそれは貴方の心の中では本物のサドゥだ。 知らずに母国に帰ればいい。安いものを貨幣価値が分からず思わず高く買ってしまったとしたら、それは貴方の貨幣価値だ。騙されたのではなく、自分の貨幣価値に相手が合わせてくれたということだ。つまり、彼は貴方、あるいは貴方の国の貨幣価値を知っている。貴方の心も知っている。もし知らないホテルに連れて行かれてぼられたとしたら、それは貴方の心が弱かった、嫌と言えなかった。あるいは疲れていた。全てを帳消しにするのは感動だ。何か一つでも感動出来たら旅をした甲斐がある。それを教えてくれたのがインドだ。

どんな、旅になるのか今から楽しみです。

This is our cake, and apparently it was yummy; each layer is a different flavor. I couldn’t really eat any because my dress was very tight and my ribs hurt. Oh well — we can always go back to the bakery and get normal cakes in those flavors. :]

今日、看護助手さんと一緒にシーツ交換をした。

大半の看護師にとってこの明るい助手さんは癒し系なので、シーツ交換は自分一人でする余裕はあったけど、つい誘ってみた。
すると快くオッケー。
わーい。
明るくて、仕事も信頼性があって、冗談言ってノリもいい、かわい～い年上の看護助手さん。
心身ともに助けられてます。
いやぁ～、癒し系。

2人でシーツ交換してると、
そんな助手さんから嬉しい一言が。
「私の中で、ここの病棟の癒し系看護師さんは、〇〇さんと◇◇さんと…、

とろみどりさん　なんですよ～。」

「オ、オレですか！」と思わず聞き返した。

ぬふ。冗談でもお世辞でも嬉しい。

お互いに癒されモードです。

To pull out all the stops means to go to any means in order to achieve something or make something successful. You use all your energy and effort and all the resources at your disposal to make something the best that it can be. You go beyond what is normally expected and do whatever you can to make something happen. It could be that you spend a lot of money to buy the best things. It could also mean that you work really hard to do everything you can and everything you can think of. You would usually do this for some special event or big occassion that you really want to be successful. This might be a personal occasion like a special birthday, anniversary, wedding, or proposal. This could also be for some business venture that is really important. You might also do this if you really wanted to impress someone such as a husband or wife (or potential husband or wife) or in-law, a boss or company VIP, or a celebrity.

Bill: Wow, have you seen the budget for the new ad campaign?
John: Yeah, they even hired a new advertising firm.
Bill: They’re really pulling out all the stops on this one.

This is supposedly a phrase that was first used by organists. If you pull out all the stop levers in a pipe organ, it makes the organ produce thte maximum volume.

The phrase, out of the blue, means that something happened suddenly that was totally unexpected and without warning. It could be that it just happened unexpectedly. It could also be that someone said something that was off the subject of what was being talked about or didn’t have any relation to anything that anybody else was saying. I If someone does something unexpected and without any warning, you could say that he did it “out of the blue.” Someone you haven’t seen for a while can suddenly show up “out of the blue.”

John: What happened to you? I haven’t seen you for a while.
Dan: I was transferred to another project.
John: What? I thought you were working on Project X.
Dan: I was. The project manager showed up one day, out of the blue, and told me I was being reassigned to Project A.
John: Well, I guess they needed a good man for the job.

This expression seems to refer to it starting to rain unexpectedly, even though the sky was blue. There was no warning like gray clouds. It just happened “out of the blue.” An older form of this expression is, “out of the clear blue sky,” though this is not used much any more.

初めての携帯からのメール。うまく送れてるかなぁ

　今日、４時限目に実習が入ってたんやけど、座学の講義に変更になっていたので空き時間だった。昨日、技師長に今日は行くことができないと伝えていたがダメもとで放射線部へいってみた。すると技師長は一般撮影へと案内してくれた。一般撮影でIさんを紹介さえこの方が、いろんなことに詳しくかなりのベテランだった。しかも嬉しいことに、これから実習にくるなら、気まずい思いをしないようにと各部署に紹介してくれた。さらに明日の朝、放射線部の会議で俺が出席してお願いしますと顔を出すことになった。何をするにも実力とつながりが必要なのでまずはしっかりここで修業したい。

　とうとう技師長と会うことができた。これからの見学をオッケーしてくれるとともに、すぐにCTの見学をさせてくれた。あいさつに行く予定だったので、白衣を持っておらず少し時間をもらってすぐに売店でKCを買って見学に行った。正直、広島大学で出会った技師さんよりは知っている知識の内容ははるかにレベルが低かった。でも知っている中でいろいろ教えようとしてくれたHさんには感謝。これからもいい関係を気付いていけたらいいな。
