I have two daughters.  The oldest is named Hannah and she is 12 years old.  She was born on November 10, 1998 in Ft.  Smith, AR.  She has blonde hair and blue eyes.  My youngest daughter is Christina.  She is 10 years old.  She was born on July 1, 2000 in Austin, TX.  She has blonde hair and hazel/green eyes.   I am so proud of them!

On that day, the 11th, I walked for 3 hours between Kawasaki and Shinagawa stations.

 My post will be about the 3 hobbies I consider as lifetime activities of mine.

From before I could remember, I have loved horses. They were the reason why I started to draw when I was young. I began drawing because I wanted to draw horses! This is very important because I graduated from art school and am a graphic designer today!

I got my chance to ride horses whenever my family returned to Hawaii during the summers. My parents would enroll me in summer riding camps where I learned to ride and care for horses and enjoyed it very much! I currently take riding lessons every Saturday in Waimanalo, and hope to become a very skilled rider and caretaker of these wonderful creatures!

Swimming for me started when I was in elementary school. I was on the swim team up until middle school, however I never became super fast. I was a very skinny child and simply lacked power! I do enjoy swimming today still, and even though I am not very fast I love it because it helps me keep my shape and body weight down. Its also meditative, relaxing, and great for cardio fitness.

I started yoga in college and it has become one of my favorite things to do! I love the breathing, balancing, and concentration involved while strengthening and stretching my body. It corrects my posture and my flexibility increases. Its also great for stress release and loosening my muscles from sitting at a desk all day. Its a great treat to my soul, mind, and body!

11日の午後、横浜市の東京電力の建物で、地震の講演をしているときに大きく揺れ始め、中庭に避難しました。

In the afternoon of the 11th when I was giving a lecture about earthquakes, inside the building of Tokyo Electric Power Company in Yokohama, the building shook violently. We sought refuge in a courtyard.

2枚目のキルトは「黒船を主題にして、まわりに開国時の異人さんを配置して. . . 」と、アイデアは膨らむばかり。そのためには、アップリケの勉強を、と本を開いてみると、ローラーカッター、ヒュージブルウエブ等など、小学生時代にフェルトを使ってちょこちょこやっていたアップリケとはいささか事情がちがっています。こういった器具のお陰でアップリケは飛躍的に進歩しましたとあります。こうなったら、本の通りにやってみるしかないと決めました。コンピューターで機能するミシンをなんとか使いこなせるようになったと思ったら、今度はヒュージブルウエブ、フリーモーションジグザグ. . . . .

「退職する」と知らせていた患者さんからこんな手紙をもらった。本当にこの方の役に立っていたのなら、心の底から嬉しい。看護師やっててよかった。

最後の勤務。

もう一人ちゃんとあいさつをしておきたかった患者さん。退職を伝えたら驚いてた。「また、絶対看護師をしなさい。するべき人なんだから。僕が言うんだから間違いない。ありがとう、これからも頑張ってね。」涙。勤務中です、我慢。できない。穏やかに勤務が進んで、朝が来て、終わりました。おつかれ、自分。患者さんからの言葉はでかいな。ほんま。ありがたすぎてどうしよう。看護師またやりたい。
