今日の晩は私一人だったので、
適当に焼うどんを作りました。
2人分作って作り置きしておきました。

親戚のお通夜から帰ってきた家族。父と母は小腹が空いたようで、「今食べたら太る～。」と言いながらも促したらあっさりとその焼うどんをあっため始めました。

食べ終わった父。「とろみどり、おいしいわ。料理のセンスがお母さんよりあるとちゃうか？！」 複雑な顔をする母。そして複雑な顔をするとろみどり。「だって（今日に限って）それ…市販の焼うどんの素（ソース）で作ったもん。。。」父「………。」 ま、焼き加減も旨さを左右するからねー、ということにしときましょう。

Every year from 2000 through 2005 I went to Japan while my employer was shut down for the year end holidays.  The problem is that five out of those six years I got sick, so I don’t travel in the winter any more.  Unfortunately, I have discovered that I have to attend to some business the east coast, so I will be traveling there relatively soon.  Ugh…

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving as well!

前の職場。
師長さんの賛同もあり、デイルームに引き続き絵を飾らせてもらってたのですが、
「100人のうち1人でも和んでくれれば。」という思いがきっかけで飾り始めました。

そしたら、その元職場で
「手術を待つ間にこの絵を見て、ホッとしました。」
と言ってくれた家族さんがいました。あ～、なんか、よかった。

昨日の夕方、スギタニが教えてくれました。
でっかい虹だ。わぁ、虹なんて久しぶり。
なんかいいことありそうな気分。
写真に撮ってみたけど、うっすらとしか写らんかった。
でも送信してみた相手は「元気が出た。」と言ってくれたのでよかったー（＾　＾）

I had to take my beloved Penelope in for her ten thousand Mile tune up yesterday. A service which already would cost me just under five hundred dollars. Then as the mechanics worked on her they noticed I would need new tires and brake pads. Which brought the total to just over Nine hundred dollars. Initially, I wanted to wait to have those done. I am on a strict budget with my money. But I decided the wise choice would be to to take care of Penelope because she takes care of me. So I pulled money from my savings account for my safety.

先日は、朝からみなとみらいへ繰り出し職場の同僚と散策をしました。
改めて歩き回るといろいろと発見もあり良いですね。
この日は11月なのに24℃も気温がありとても暖かい一日でした。

It hasn’t rained in a while.  Today there was a gentle mist blowing, not enough to make you wet as you stand outside.  However when taking my children to school on my motor scooter, the abundant mist does get you a little wet.  We welcome the mist and hopefully it will become rain today.  Water levels are a little low and we need some rain.
