On the weekend I took a drive around Oahu Island. It was wonderful. I noticed that there are many different sub-cultures that are almost as different as little countries with in Oahu, depending on the area. There is the bustling tourist and inner city area of Honolulu/waikiki, a more affluent Hawaii Kai area that is a mostly white and Japanese, I believe, and then the ruggered cliffs and eventually we arrived at a very Hawaiian Waiamanelo. From there we went through Kailua, and then through Kaneohe, which I loved, as it seemed to be a melting pot of people from all backgrounds and down to earth but beautiful. We travelled on up the highway through a lovely farming area, before we reached the north shore, famous for big waves and surfers. After that we travelled through the centre of Oahu, and arrived on the Leeward. After a bit more driving west we arrived on the Waianae Coast. Inspite of all the beauty and interesting places I was so happy to arrive home. I have surely found the perfect place for me in Makaha!
The last few weeks have been chaotic. I am busily preparing my business to take over from my ex husband. I run a massage school and am re naming it Massage Masters. It will operate in Australia & NZ; the UK; S. Africa and Singapore, in 20 locations. There is so much to prepare to do to enable a smooth transition. But I am very excited . I just love running this business and am so grateful to finally have the opportunity back. Even though it gets stressful and I am busy, I am on top of the world !

The last few days have been extremely busy as I make the necessary changes to prepare for my new life after my divorce Settlement on March 9. I have chosen to purchase the marital business and our land in Hawaii and my ex husband gets our house and financial payments from me. Our children are shared equally however I have the authority on their school and medical.
The change over day when everything we Settled on takes effect is set for May 1.And so before then I need to ensure that I make the necessary preparations and changes to the marital business so that it goes smoothly (like redesigning and rewriting the business websites so that there is no reference to my ex husband in it anymore) . I also have to prepare to move out of the house and so he can move back in.
I am doing this with not a lot of help and so I am very busy and a bit pressured to ensure that I can afford everything. Nonetheless everything seems to be unfolding as planned and I am extremely grateful.
Aloha !
Yesterday the otherwise hot and sultry Makaha experienced a wild winter tropical storm like nothing before. Lightening crashed and thunder roared. And the heavens poured torrents of rain saturating the thirsty landscape with a quenching soak . During the storm the wind swept through the trees, and thuds could be heard on the roof all day long as one by one the mangoes were torn from the tree in howling winds to leave a blanket of orange yellow green fruit sprawled across our front lawn. That night I slept peacefully to the soothing sound of pouring rain pounding and the next morning I awoke to a beautiful blue sky and the shining rays of sun glistening though my window.
For the last few months I have been back in Oahu While I enjoyed my experiences on the Big Island I definitely feel like Ive come here at my home in Makaha. The weather is particularly lovely, even though it s winter it is always warm and although its the rainy season most days are sunny. The ocean is more wild than usual, but there are so many beautiful places to swim and there is a gorgeous mountainous backdrop. It truly is paradise here in Hawaii. Today Im reorganizing my house and setting up my office. My boy Bally is 3, he is riding his little bike. and I found a pair of rollerskates while cleaning up that I want to try out. Bali found a “lazyboy” surf board and is now wanting to go to the beach to swim.
I will check in again later this week
Aloha!

The other day I took my 11 year old son Jaya to the world renowned Astronomy Center here in Hilo. It was rather facinating as the roof is a dome shape and we watched a 3D movie from the roof of our solarsystem. we were then transported out into the outer edges of our universe and we sat back in awe as all the planets, blackholes, and other amazing wonders with in our universe passed by us. This “movie” was taken by the internationally acclaimed “Subaru” telescope that sits on the top of Mauna Loa volcano, the worlds larges mountain when measured from the base of the sea! The Big island is indeed full of natural wonders. Why not come see for yourself and let the awesomeness of the Hawaii’s Big Island enchant you!
Aloha
Yesterday my partner and I enjoyed a day at the local beach. This particular beach is very unique as every sunday the locals congregate bringing drums, flutes and other musical instruments to have a dance at the beach. Of course the dancing is entirely optional and many people choose to sit back and watch. But either way it seems to have become a local thing to do every sunday dancing and drumming at the local beach on the east side of the Big Island. Whether you like it or not it is certainly a site to be seen at least once perhaps. Aloha
For this 2010 New Year’s Eve, I was invited to party put on by Hawaiians at a local favorite hangout. set in the outback of the wild west Puna and virtually the back yard of the famous lava fields that all the tourists flock to this side of the island to see, this rural haven was definately a first as a party venue for me. Also I seldom celebrate New Years too formally, at best, at home with friends over a drink, and more usually, in bed to the sound of midnight fireworks. So this year was pretty special. The evening kicked off with a dancer who entertained the entire audience with dramatic and wild dancing swinging on ropes and creeping along rafters in a performance that skillfully combined acrobatics with traditional dance. Next were the hula girls, who shook their hips in a hypnotic fashion that both fascinated and tantilized the audience. Midnight was met with a dramatic display of fireworks and a wonderful band that played old-time favorites in the background. Everyone gathered to toast to the Newyear, and many continued on dancing, singing and chatting till early hours of the morning.
Over the past few months I have been working really hard trying to design and develop a business that will take off here on Hawaii’s Big Island. I also want to incorporate things I love to do and have relatively alot of experience in (both practically and formally). So having been a tour guide at Japan Travel Bureau , I am relatively accustomed to tours and what’s involved in arranging them. Hawaii is the perfect spot for tours being blessed with so many types of beautiful landscapes and sites of interest. I have also added retreats to the business and have expanded the retreats to include a variety of topics such as yoga, meditation, lose weight, couples and women’s. We also included personalized retreats where one can have their entire stay tailor made to their unique circumstances, needs and budget. So right now I am working really hard on public relations and marketing for this Living Love Retreats and Tours, so that it can evolve into one of Hawaii’s premium retreat and vacation options. Catering to all sorts of people from all walks of life. Come and check us out at www.hawaiiretreatsandtours.com.
Last weekend was my baby’s second birthday and to celebrate I took a trip to Oahu where we used to live. It was as if time stood still in one way going back. I also had the oppurtunity to go to a meditation gathering and catch up with old friends which was really great. Going back to my old house was also very confronting but good because I could intergrate all the events since my separation and work to moving forward in a healthy, whole and positive way. I really like Oahu and and am certainly considering relocating there where I have a beautiful 2 acre parcel of beach front land, to build a house and start a new life in the near future. Aloha
